Irish Farmhouse Cheeses

Cooleeney Farm is located in Thurles in County Tipperary. The Maher family are fourth generation farmers who use the milk from their own pedigree Friesian dairy herd to make their range of cheeses. The farm’s peaty soil provides the perfect growing environment for clover rich grass, and it is no wonder that their pedigree Friesian herd produces the best milk for some of Ireland’s finest and most robust Irish Farmhouse Cheeses.

For over 20 years, Breda Maher at Cooleeny Farm has exported both her own Cooleeney brand and her industry partners’ fine Irish cheeses into international markets.
